Behance Portfolio Template

Many designers showcase their creative work on Behance. This page shows how you can create a consistent design layout using Illustrator.

The template gives your pages a uniform look and really helps to organize your information.


A free template to get you started

Download the template and open it in Illustrator. Make it your own by changing the colors, typefaces, gradients, layout, etc.

You can also brand it with your personal brand.


Student Example

This example shows how this student created a really long portfolio image in Illustrator. He then exported it as a PNG and uploaded it to a project page in Behance.

Notice how he created his design using many artboards. This allowed him to chunk certain pieces together and be able to reorder them. You don’t have to use multiple artboards—one will do just fine too.

The proper way to export your artboards is File > Export > Artboards To Files…. This allows you to have a continuous background image if you choose. You can also have art images that overlap from one artboard to another. Like the arrows below.

Here’s an example of a Behance project file that uses five Illustrator artboards and a continuous background gradient. It was exported the same way as the example above.
