Course Description: This course introduces students to the strategic, technical, and design foundations of building functional e-commerce websites using an industry-leading e-commerce web platform. Students develop a comprehensive marketing strategy, including defining the target audience, creating customer personas, establishing brand positioning, and planning products, before constructing two fully operational online stores.
Emphasis is placed on user experience, conversion-focused design, responsive layouts, product organization, checkout configuration, and ethical digital commerce practices. Students leverage AI-assisted tools to support product descriptions, keyword development, and marketing messaging while maintaining brand authenticity and professional standards.
By the end of the course, students will have built two entry-level, fully functional e-commerce websites featuring 5–10 products each, complete checkout systems in test mode, and optimized customer journeys. The course prepares learners to design revenue-generating ecommerce solutions for small businesses, entrepreneurs, influencers, and freelance clients.
