Course Description
Comprehensive Graphic Design is a project-based course in which students design a complete marketing campaign from concept to final execution. Students create a logo and brand style guide, then develop a coordinated set of marketing materials, including social media graphics, posters, email designs, and other real-world applications. The course reinforces design and marketing principles, color and typography theory, and professional software skills learned in earlier classes. Students also learn to use AI tools thoughtfully to support ideation and production while maintaining strong creative authorship. Emphasis is placed on visual consistency, audience awareness, and professional presentation and critique. By the end of the course, students produce a cohesive, portfolio-ready campaign that reflects industry expectations and demonstrates both creative range and strategic thinking.
What you’ll hand in
You’ll complete four design projects in this class. My hope is that they will all be portfolio pieces and help you land your first job.
