I love to build with wood. Over the past few decades, I’ve built several pieces per year. Some are used indoors, others outdoors. They take time and patience, but I love the fact that they won’t end up in a landfill after a few years—these will be enjoyed for hundreds of years.

I do as much work as I can with hand tools. Like most woodworkers, I have a handful of tried and true old tools that I’ve restored to working order and love to use.

The real fun has begun over the last few years as my children have asked me to teach them woodworking.
