Portfolio Brochure – Instructions

After an interview, leaving this portfolio brochure behind with the interviewer helps keep your name and design work fresh in their mind. This foldable mini-portfolio may sit on their desk while they are deciding who to hire, which can bode well for you.

Here’s an example of a single-fold brochure template I made for you to use:

Grading Checklist

  • Design a portfolio brochure to use to market yourself during the job interview process
  • Use my template or create your own
  • Include 4–5 pieces of your best work
  • Include your name and contact information
  • You may include a QR code lining to your Behance or website portfolio. I made mine in InDesign and copied and pasted it into Illustrator.
  • Print it on our 12″ x 18″ paper (It’s a heavier weight)
  • Participate in presentations and critiques
  • Hand in your final folded brochure

Portfolio Brochure Template

Here’s the full Illustrator template for the Portfolio brochure. It uses two 12″ x 18″ artboards. You’ll print this 2-sided and get two brochures. We call this duplexing 2-up.

Open it in Illustrator and customize it with your own design work and brand. This image shows the template customized with student work.
