Booklet Printing
Here’s how to print a booklet from InDesign to our Graphic Design Dept. Xerox printer.
Set up your multi-page booklet in InDesign
I chose 8.5″ x 11″, sixteen pages with facing pages. Be sure to use multiples of four for your page count.
(I added large page numbering just to make sure it was printing correctly)

Next, Print your booklet using Print Booklet in InDesign
(This will convert your InDesign reader spreads into printer spreads and make your booklet)
Choose File > Print Booklet

And set up your windows and settings to match mine:

Click Print Settings at the bottom to bring up the next window

Click Page Setup… to bring up the next window

Click Okay
Click Printer… in the dark gray Print box (go back up two images from this text) to bring up the next window

Choose Fiery Features
Match these window settings:

Click Print, and then Print again to get back to the Print Booklet window. There, click on Preview.
Now you’ll see your booklet in printer spreads, ready to be printed and duplexed.
Click Print

Your final booklet
The four signatures will print out like this. You’ll have four pieces of paper. Each piece of paper (signature) will have four pages.

Staple it with the longnecked stapler

Fold it in half and trim it and you’ll have your final booklet.

Double-check that your page numbering lines up and that your booklet looks like you want it to.
Nice work!
